We all know the students at SUNY Oswego are extremely talented, especially with writing. Want a way to showcase your writing? Send a story to Oswego’s own literary magazine, the Great Lake Review. The GLR accepts fiction, non-fiction, art, poems and screenplays. It has also been around since the 1970s. Check the Oswego website to find GLR archives.
If you are interested in submitting to the GLR or would like more information, email the club at glr@oswego.edu. The deadline to submit is April 4, so don’t wait until the last minute! Keep in mind that not everything submitted will get published in the GLR, but don’t let that discourage you! Just submit the next semester. There is no limit to how many pieces you submit.
At the end of the semester, there is a release party at River’send Bookstore. Authors read their work that was published and there are free refreshments.
