She’s funny, intelligent, outgoing and always down to have a great time and make you smile. She’s caring, sweet and always strives for perfection.  Our very deserving Campus Cutie, Samantha Rose, is here at Oswego to shine!

What’s your favorite food? “That’s so hard to pick, I like so many food groups. If I had to pick one, I would probably pick Sushi.”

What is your favorite quote? “”If it’s meant to be, it will be.” I truly believe everything happens for a reason and things will end up working out in the end.  I like to think optimistically about things and I know if something seems to not be going as planned, eventually things will work out for the best.”

What is one thing in your daily routine that you can’t live without? “I can’t live without my planner.  I have a really hectic schedule with my classes, job, internship and extracurriculars like my sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, and clubs. I need to write everything down to stay organized and to make sure I get everything done.”

Describe yourself in three words and explain why. “Fun, motivated, and loving.  I love to laugh and make others laugh.  I love having a great time and looking at the positive things in life. I like to set goals for myself, long term and short term so I can work towards something always. Whether it’s setting a goal for good grades for each semester or something like getting my laundry done.  I’m also that person who my friends can come to for anything.  I really try and be compassionate towards everyone and I care so much about the people in my life.  I’m extremely close with my family and miss them like crazy when I’m away at school.  I would do anything for any one of them.”

What is your go-to outfit? “My go-to outfit would most definitely be a good pair of sneakers, leggings, sports bra and a hoodie, depending on the temperature. That’s like the most comfortable outfit I can wear, I love it.”

What is your ideal date? “My ideal date would be going into N.Y.C. to have a romantic dinner, walk around Times Square and then see a Broadway musical. I’m obsessed with musicals.”

What is your dream job? “My dream job would be something in corporate management, to work my way up in the ladder one day.  I’m still not sure what kind of company I would like to work for though.”

What are you involved in on campus? “I have a job as a building manager in the Marano Center, an internship through the Premiere Living Suites, and I am involved with the Business Management Club and the American Marketing Association.”

What has been your favorite experience in college so far? “Hmm that’s a tough one.  I have had a really great time here at Oswego so far and I’ve had so many experiences.  I would say one of my top would be when I made the President’s List.  I worked so hard to get there and the feeling of accomplishment after that was so amazing.  Another great experience would be joining Phi Sigma Sigma, the sorority I’m a part of.  I love every member in it, and everything we do as a group and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

I am a double major in English and Creative Writing. Writing is my passion, whether it be creative writing, poetry or journalism. I love sports. New York Giants, New York Rangers, and the New York Yankees. I am an animal lover, fashion fanatic and a hard working student. I am seeking a job position for a fashion magazine once I graduate college, in hopes to be a fashion journalist or editor of a magazine. I would also enjoy working in the fashion industry, even if it means I have to work my way up in the company. I am dedicated, hardworking and willing to learn new things if that means achieving my goals and success for not only myself but those around me as well.
