Students across campus have been discussing the upcoming event called May Day. Get out and enjoy yourself this April 29th at the annual May Day festivities.
What is May Day: Every year, SUNY Oswego celebrates the upcoming month of May with a celebration of spring activities outside. The campus provides food, games, and entertainment for students to participate in on campus grounds. The purpose of the event is to honor the month of May and spring time. May Day is always the Sunday before the actual date of May first due to classes.
Every year there are various activities outside and inside the campus center. Food is provided for from auxillary service free of charge. Last year in 2011, some events included laser tag, a sky diving inflatable ride, and a carnival like style of food set up around the campus center. There is always something for everyone to do involving picture booths, sports, competitions, or inflatable rides.
May Day is an event that is similar to Laker Fest, which is at the beginning of the year. Each year the Oswego has different rides and events to entertain students during this event. Students should take this opportunity to go out and enjoy this festive day with friends and staff. Engaging in new activities like floating above a giant, inflatable toy for the first time is just a glimpse of May Day. May Day is coming up at the end of this week on Sunday April 29th. Go out and enjoy yourself and engage in campus life.
