Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara Review

by Melissa LeeI was immediately really excited when we received this mascara in our Winter Survival Kits. I’m a huge makeup fanatic, so getting something from a higher-end brand was a nice surprise. I have also already heard really great things about the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara, so I had pretty high expectations to begin with. I tried it out when I was doing my makeup the next morning and this mascara definitely did not disappoint! If I’m doing a full face of makeup, I will typically use two mascaras to achieve full, long lashes (extra, I know), but Lights, Camera, Lashes does an amazing job of completely coating each lash. My eyelashes look amazing after applying just one or two coats of this product. I would absolutely repurchase this mascara in the future.

Krazy Glue Review

by Jordyn RobisonAs an avid crafter, I use krazy glue as if it’s my job. Honestly, it saves lives if you happen to accidentally break something while painting a ceramic piece. It also comes in handy when repairing paint brushes or gluing pieces together. Besides the craft purposes, krazy glue comes in handy with just about any small break you that would happen in your house. It holds very well and dries fast for a super quick fix. Krazy glue is something everyone should invest in for their homes. It’s super useful and you never know when you might need it. It comes in handy in so many different situations. I was so glad we received it in the survival kit! It will definitely help me make my mom’s centerpieces for her wedding next fall!

#ACTUALLYSHECAN + LE MOTTO Tank Review

by Nathalie PenaA tank top with a positive and encouraging quote is exactly what I needed for when I (occasionally) go to the gym. I loved that our Her Campus chapter had three options of shirts. So if one quote resonated with a member more than another, we had the luxury of having a choice. I chose the white tank top that said, “Less hesitation, more meditation.” Since I got my Le Motto shirt, I wore it right away to sleep because of how soft it was and automatically cozy it made me. Now, it’s a common shirt I wear to go to the gym as well. It helps having a cute shirt that gives some motivation from the quote.

ALBA BOTANICA: Fast Fix for Puffy Eyes Gel Review

by Ashley Trevor With finals week fast approaching, this fast fix gel for puffy eyes by Alba Botanica could not have come into my life at a better time. The end of the semester is a time filled with stress and sleep deprivation, which is killer on the appearance of my eyes. I decided to test out the eye gel, not really thinking it would do much, but figured I could give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. In less than a minute my eyes felt less heavy, and I actually felt a little more awake. The gel contains all natural products, as well as caffeine, and they don’t test on animals. My favorite thing about the gel is that it dries fast and doesn’t leave any sort of sticky residue like I thought it might, and its essentially scentless, so there was no irritation to my eyes. The skin under my eyes also feels a lot smoother, which is a definite bonus.

Being Hand Cream Review

by Mackenzie LynchI was super excited when we received Being Hand Cream in our Winter Survival Kits. I had just ran out of the lotion I kept in my purse, and was looking to try something new. The first thing I noticed about it was the designs on the tube. They’re cool and eye catching. The two scents, Salted Caramel & Macadamia and Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom smell great! They’re feminine and light, something I typically look for in a scent. I hate a greasy hand cream, and usually take it right off, but Being is not too greasy or heavy on your hands! The compact size fits perfectly in my backpack and purse. I can see myself buying more Being Hand Cream once my tube runs out.

Tarteist™ PRO Palette Review

by Katie ShortWhen I opened the box for our #HolidaySurvivalKits, I was completely blown away by all the amazing products. And when I realized we received an eyeshadow palette from Tarte, my favorite makeup brand….I was so stoked. The Tarteist™ PRO Palette is honestly one of the most beautiful eyeshadow palettes I have ever seen. It has twenty different shades, and all of them effortlessly go well together. The pigmented shades of different browns, neutrals, purples, and pinks, are all made with Tarte’s classic ingredient of Amazonian clay. I ended up using this palette for the first time yesterday, when I went to Oswego’s rugby formal with one of my friends. I wore a deep purple/maroon colored dress, and my roommate used the darker purple shades to complete my look. When she was done with my eyeshadow, I was completely obsessed with how it looked and I kept getting compliments all night on how bomb my eyeshadow looked. And the best thing about this palette is that it has so many amazing shades that coordinate well together. You could use this palette for a night out, or for everyday use, especially with all the nude colors. All I can say about the Tarteist™ PRO Palette is that I am so obsessed and I’ll be using this everyday over winter break!
