Dress to ImpressBy March 31, 2012 - 8:27pm I understand that we’re in college and that everyone is very busy with their lives, including myself, but if there’s one thing I’m a total stickler about, it’s how I dress. Some people have known me for 3+ years and never seen me in a pair of sweatpants. And if there’s one thing I would like to thank, it’s my favorite television drama, Mad Men for making me a total clothing Nazi. READ MORE |

The Vow: The Reality Of It AllBy March 23, 2012 - 2:36pm I don’t mean to be a total creep but I think about marriage at least 10x a day. And not like, what dress I’m going to wear or if I should grow my hair out for an up-do, or what kind of flowers my bridesmaids will be holding. I think about what the hell is going to happen after all of that. READ MORE |

Londonopolis: Just Some Famous People...By March 9, 2012 - 10:58am Yesterday was a pretty big day when it comes to my concert-going experiences and love for music. For those who don't know me, I'm a music addict. I have thousands of songs on iTunes and had to buy myself a 120 gig iPod just to hold everything. I'm constantly on YouTube finding new artists. My mom sends me iTunes cards and calls it my "drug money." READ MORE |

The Quarter: How We Overreact...Way Too MuchBy March 7, 2012 - 11:29pm It’s a beautiful day in the beginning of March- the month that is supposed to “come in like a lion and out like a lamb”. My windows are open, I’m wearing a skirt without any stockings and I drove with the sunroof open today. It’s just absolutely beautiful, and all I want to do is walk around on the grass barefoot. To celebrate what a lovely day it is, before I locked myself in my room after my Globalization Seminar to do the last 50 pages of work before my Spring Break can begin, I cleaned my car. READ MORE |

Londonopolis: Paris and Other AdventuresBy February 26, 2012 - 3:42pm Hello Oswego! I've been missing your snowy-ness and high winds. But, I wouldn't trade that for the last few weeks here in (surprisingly sunny) England. I spent a weekend in Paris, which was awesome, needless to say. I went with two friends here, from Texas and Minnesota, and we stayed in a little hotel in Montmartre for two days and explored every tourist attraction we could get our hands on. READ MORE |

My BFF'sBy February 17, 2012 - 2:33pm Our lives would be meaningless without relationships, wouldn’t they? And I’m not just talking about “oh I’m so in love with you” relationships, I mean all types. Today I’m going to write about my BFFs and why I wouldn’t be able to survive without them. I’m a pain in the ass to be friends with. I’m constantly asking for help with mundane tasks, and also do not know how to handle most social situations (especially with the opposite sex) and to the people that have decided to be my friends… well, thank you. Have Contiki, Will Travel - Win the Trip of a Lifetime!By February 14, 2012 - 11:15am It’s safe to say that for most of us at Oswego, studying abroad is part of our college plan. But even with a study abroad plan in the works (or behind you), when Spring begins to peak through the clouds, the travel itch starts, and dreaming about an epic Euro-trip or an Australian adventure becomes a daily distraction when struggling through our oh-so-boring lectures. But planning a trip abroad can be scary, time consuming, and let's not forget--super expensive. Lucky for us, Her Campus has partnered with Contiki, the #1 travel company for young people, offering over 200 guided tours and pre-planned trips in 40+ countries, exclusively for 18-35-year-olds—all for amazingly low prices!... |

Londonopolis: WalesBy February 10, 2012 - 12:47pm Oh, Wales. I’ve never been somewhere before that literally makes me want to curl up in a little ball and stare at sheep all day. Seriously, I loved Wales. I would live there in a heartbeat, as long as y’all come with me, of course. We (everyone studying in London through the Brockport program) all got to spend a weekend visiting South Wales and then Bath, and let me start by telling you that there is nothing cooler than waking up in a country full of castles. The Advice We Never TakeBy February 8, 2012 - 6:06pm As a Resident Mentor and BFF I am constantly giving people advice. My residents and friends come to me for academic advice, relationship advice, time management advice, and the like. I love that they feel comfortable enough to come to me and discuss their problems, and value my opinion when it comes to their personal lives. What I do not love is that for some inexplicable reason- I can never take my own advice. READ MORE |

Londonopolis: Tower Bridge, Chinese New Year, and MoreBy January 30, 2012 - 9:22am I have officially been studying abroad in London for a month, now, and it’s so weird to think about! I’m not sure how I’ll fit in everything I’ve seen so far into this blog post, but I’m going to try. For anyone who has ever been to London, you know it is a huge, diverse, and exciting place to be. There is literally so much to do and see here that I probably won’t finish it all, even after the end of my four months here. It’s beautiful and lively, and there is something unique on every street corner. READ MORE |
