3 Easy Christmas Cookie Recipes to Make You the Star of the Christmas Party

Christmas is the season of parties. Everywhere you turn there is another Christmas party to attend and we couldn’t be happier about it. However, sometimes it gets overwhelming when you must decide what to bring to each party. Below are three of my favorite Christmas cookie recipes to make you stand out at all your holiday parties. So, grab your friends, open some wine and bake away! Get ready to impress everyone!

Peanut Butter Blossoms

Total Time Needed: 30 Minutes

Makes 48 Cookies

Ingredients:

• 48 Hershey Kisses

• 1/2 Cup Shortening

• 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter

• 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar

• 1/3 Cup Light Brown Sugar

• 1 egg

• 2 Tablespoons milk

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 teaspoon of baking soda

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for rolling dough)

Directions:

• Preheat oven to 375F.

• Remove wrappers from the kisses (feel free to eat a few!)

• Beat shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl. Add the 1/3 cup of granulated sugar as well as the 1/3 cup of brown sugar. Beat this mix until fluffy.

• Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.

• Stir flour, baking soda and salt and gradually stir into peanut butter mixture.

• Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll the balls in the extra granulated sugar and place on the ungreased cookie sheet.

• Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.

• Remove cookies from oven and immediately press Hershey kiss into the center of each cookie.

• Remove from wire rack and let cool.

Total Time Needed: 20 Minutes

Makes 60 Cookies

Ingredients:

• 1 Cup of Butter, Softened

• 1 ½ Cups of Sugar

• 2 Large Eggs

• 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

• 3 Cups of All-Purpose Flour

• 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Powder

• 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt

• Optional:

Holiday Sprinkles Directions:

• In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

• In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar until blended.

• Beat eggs and vanilla into the sugar mix.

• Slowly add the flour mixture to the sugar mix.

• Divide dough into 4 equal mixtures and refrigerate for at minimum an hour.

• Preheat oven to 350F

• Roll dough out and cut into desired shapes.

• Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Cake Mix Cookies

Total Time Needed: 30 Minutes

Makes 24 Cookies

Ingredients:

• 1 Box of White Cake Mix

• 2 Large Egg Whites

• 2 Tablespoons of Flour

• 1/2 Cup of Vegetable Oil

• 3/4 Cup of Chocolate Chips

• 1/4 Cup of Holiday Sprinkles

Directions:

• Preheat the oven to 350F

• Combine the cake mix, egg whites, flour and oil.

• Add in the 3/4 cup of chocolate chips

• Roll the cookie dough into 2” size balls and place on baking sheets

• Gently place down on the cookie dough calls with extra chocolate chips and sprinkles.

• Bake 8-10 minutes.
