The Nike Training Club App: Your Free Personal Trainer That Sits Right In Your Pocket

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

As Buckeye students we are blessed to have world class facilities and equipment for fitness right in the palm of our hands. However, there can be downsides to having such incredible workout equipment at every turn.  First and foremost, many students that really want to get in shape (but are new to working out) can easily feel intimidated and overwhelmed by all the high tech equipment. Also, some of you may not like other people seeing you work out. And even if there are gyms in every part of campus, sometimes you don’t have enough time to walk to the gym, walk back to your dorm, shower, then go to class.

Wouldn’t it be nice if sometimes you could get a world class workout in a small, quiet space, put on the music of your choice and have your very own personal trainer exhorting you to shed the calories?

Well you can look no further than the Nike Training Club App. This app acts as your own personal trainer. It’s loaded with hundreds of workouts from beginner level up to advanced. It allows you to choose from categories such as strength, endurance, and mobility. Listed under each category are tons of workouts that can be done even in the convenience of your dorm, living room, hotel room, any small space, or you could even take it to the gym.

You can choose from timed workouts to repetition workouts and you can even make a monthly plan that you can follow. There is also the option of choosing what level of intensity you want based on your own preference or fitness level. You could even do yoga with Nike Training Club– so many options!

Over the last couple of years this app has certainly become my workout buddy. What I like about it is that I choose workouts based on what I am feeling like doing and I can even combine a variety of workouts. Sometimes I will pick a core and leg workout or other times I will do arms and back. If I don’t have time, I would just do a quick 15-minute workout to get a bit of a sweat and then I’m off with my day. Sometimes it saves me a lot of time not having to think about what workout or move I have to do. Its like I’ve had my own personal trainer. And did I mention its FREE?!

I have done countless workouts in a variety of spaces, places, and countries because this app literally sits right in my pocket. I learned that you don’t need an expensive gym membership or fancy equipment to keep you in shape. All you need is a bit of space and the Nike Training Club app for a world class workout.
