Thursday, March 27, 2014 marked a milestone for The Women’s Book, a Columbus, OH-based small business that focuses on advancing the success of women. This business launches its first San Francisco Bay Area, CA print publication at the second day of its cohost’s, the Institute for Women’s Leadership, conference. The theme for this conference is “Don’t Just Survive, Thrive–Designing a Life Beyond the Myth of Work-Life Balance,” featuring Arianna Huffington speaking about her latest book Thrive.

CEO Takeysha Cheney launched The Women’s Book in 2009 and it has shown continuous growth since. With chapters in northeast Ohio, Columbus, OH, and San Francisco Bay Area, CA, this multimedia company utilizes social media, as well as print publications, to connect women to resources regionally and nationally. These resources aid in career aspirations and accessibility to information regarding other facets of daily life, such as style through its sister site Workable Style.

The Women’s Book has successfully held multiple networking events that, more often than not, featured a female speaker to give a few words about her personal inspirations to succeed. For information on regional or national events, sign up for a subscription to the E-Newsletters and be sure to take a look at its career advice articles.
