If you haven’t yet heard of Captain Kidd, you’re totally missing out. The indie-pop/alternative dance band has become a pretty big deal around The Ohio State University, and even got to open for Capital Cities in this year’s Welcome Week Concert. Read on to learn a little more about the five Campus Cuties who make up the band!

HC: Who are your favorite music artists?
NS: Filter

HC: What would be your ideal first date?
EB: First, I’m gonna rent out a limo to pick you up in, where I’ll have six to eight prepared poems that I will recite once we get in the limo, probably haikus. Then I’ll reserve an entire restaurant, but we won’t eat dinner there, we’ll just enjoy having the entire restaurant to ourselves. Then I’ll take you back to your hometown and get you your favorite home cooked meal. At that point, I’ll take you to makeout point.
SW: I would take her to a bar, because the focus is on the interaction and not the food.
NB: I think a concert would be a good first date. And then make out point, definitely.
AG: I’d honestly go bowling, probably.
NS: A hot air ballon ride, but I’m terrified of heights, so I would just buy her the ride and she’d have to go by herself.
HC: If you were a girl, which member of the band would you date?
All: Came to the consensus that Nate and Nick would date in an open relationship, Andrew and Eric would date, and they would “pass Stew around”
HC: What is the best thing about OSU?
All: The Diversity
NB: There’s a lot of things to do, a lot of people to meet.
NS: It sounds cliché, but you can literally be anyone you want. You can find any friend group, any style of music, fashion and people with similar interests.
EB: There’s literally every kind of person here.
