I love brunch. Who doesn’t? Here are four restaurants I’ve been to and think are great places for brunch.

Biscuits and Branch:

Location: 685 N High St

Website: http://biscuitandbranch.com

Biscuits and Branch is probably my favorite spot—I’ve been there at least 5 times. The prices are moderate and the food is delicious (although sometimes you have to wait for your food for a while). I like the buttermilk biscuit and killer sausage gravy there. For drinks, many people will order Flytown, but since I’m not 21 yet, I never tried that.

The problem is that the right half of the restaurant is a little dark—bad for taking photos.

Northstar Cafe in the Short North:

Location: 951 North High Street

Website: https://www.thenorthstarcafe.com

They have three restaurants in Columbus—one in the Short North, one in Easton and one in Beechwold. I have only been to the Short North location. The seating is comfortable and the lighting is good. They also have many magazines that you can read while eating (or just use for Instagram photos). The problem is, on the weekend, there are so many people there. I went there on a Saturday and I waited for about 10 minutes to get a seat while I was holding my hot tea (BTW-the hot tea there is good). Also, because there were so many people waiting for tables, I felt rushed to finish my meal.

First Watch:

Location:1567 North High Street

Website: https://www.firstwatch.com

If you live on campus (especially South Campus), this would be a great choice for you. First Watch is near the Ohio Union and it opened last summer. I went there on the first day of fall break and there were not many people. The food was great and it was a big meal. (I didn’t even finish mine!) The oatmeal is good and my friend highly recommends the avocado toast.

The Guild House:

Location: 624 N High St

Website: https://theguildhousecolumbus.com

This restaurant has the best environment among all four of the restaurants I reviewed. It’s never that crowded, so it’s not hard to get a table by the windows where you can watch people and cars pass by. The waiters are really nice—they checked in to see how everything was often. However, the food is a little expensive. My friend and I spent almost 50 bucks there and we just ordered enough food for two people.

Also, it’s right across from Anthropology — so you can go shopping after brunch (how convenient)!
