By my sophomore year, I held positions in these organizations and also joined the Fashion Production Association. Last year, I started my own business retail organization called Fashion Forward. I also worked two jobs at Fisher and a job at A&F corporate my sophomore, junior, and senior year.

HC: What are your plans for after graduation?

AB: Working as a merchant/ buyer for a retail company in New York or California.

HC: Speaking of travel, you’re not originally from Ohio. Tell me about that:

AB: I’m from Pretoria, South Africa. My family relocated to the US when I was 14. I’ve moved around a lot in my life. We moved to a different house almost every two years and I attended three different high schools. At this point, I need change to be happy!

HC: What brought you to OSU?

AB: I really liked the Short North and I fell in love with the Buckeye Pride. The immaculate facilities also sweetened the deal! (Referring to the 18-person hot tub at the RPAC)

HC: How do you think your involvements on campus will help you after grauation?

AB: They definitely taught me how to manage my time and to really go after what you’re passionate about. A huge benefit was also learning how to build relationships with people who think differntly than you.

HC: What’s your favorite part about being at OSU/ being so involved?

AB: Being able to impact others in a good way.

HC: What’s your best advice for those trying to get involved on campus?

AB: Find what you’re passionate about and go after it because it’s easy to get lost in being complacent and going with the flow.

HC: You’re an excellent. What’s your best advice for being involved, having a good social life, and still getting good grades?

AB: Don’t sleep! (laughs)
