Reasons Why We Love Our Mothers

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Every mother’s Day is the chance to reflect on the reasons why we love our mothers. These are some of the reasons why the ladies of Oregon Her Campus love our mommas!

She is always right.

She offers the best advice even when we don’t want to listen to it.

We can borrow her clothes (and carefully place them back in the closet without her knowing).

She spent countless hours reading to us before bed as a child.

She stays positive and happy even during her hardest times.

“I love my momma because she is my best friend. she brings out the best in me when I am happy and helps lift me up when I am sad. Her love is unconditional and through all my challenges she has stood by my side and cheered me on. I couldn’t imagine having any other mother than the beautiful one who raised me.” -Gabrielle Gomez

She cries with us.

She is someone we can always confide in and trust.

She give us her honest opinion of our choice of outfit.

She let’s us know when we need to take it easy on the bronzer.

She is our number one cheerleader.

“I love my mom because all that I am, I owe it to her. She’s always been there for me, supporting me and helping me through rough times. She is beautiful, strong and the best mom anyone could ever ask for.” -Lucia Estrada

She didn’t just teach but showed us what working hard means.

She put up with us during our moody middle school years.

She has a kind heart.

She makes us laugh.

She gives the best hugs.

“Because she taught me that comparison is the theif of joy, loved me unconditionally and gets my sense of humor.” -Sydney Zuelke

She helps mend our hearts through our heartbreaks.

She never  gives up on us.

She loves us unconditionally.

She never stops supporting us.

She is our best friend.

“I love and appreciate my mom because she is always there to hold me up when I think I can’t go on. She’s given me the ability to fly and to know I’m more than failures and insecurities.” -Melissa Epifano

Take the time to share with your mother and all the important women in your life why you appreciate and love them!
