Feist Has Blessed Us With Not One, but Two Singles

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Among the all-star female indie rock bands that emerged in the 2000s, Feist still remains on top, thanks to her new singles “Pleasure” and “Century,” released Mar. 16 and April 5.

Leslie Feist grabbed audiences with 2004’s buoyant “Mushaboom” before topping the dance charts with 2007’s whimsical “1234.” After six years since her last album Metals, Feist has returned with more than just pep and pop. With dissonant voice work and less refined edges, her new album Pleasure, out April 28, already feels more obscure than her last five studio albums. For fans of early Feist don’t worry, her pretty voice as well as her use of funky riffs and light synths shine through and remind us why we loved her in the first place.

“Pleasure” and “Century” are available to stream on Spotify and Soundcloud.
