	2013 Hui 'O Hawa'ii Lu'au: Pi'i Mai Ka Nalu By Heather Baldock June 1, 2013 - 7:30pm Want some big island in your life? Grab your friends and kick back at University of Oregon's 38th annual Hawa'ii lū'au event, hosted by the campus's Hawa'ii club. Student instructors choreograph various styles of hula dances accompanied by traditional Hawaiian instruments, with plenty of refreshments included. Doors open at 4:30 pm followed by an delicious Hawaiian feast at 5:30 pm, and the show begins at 7:00 pm. 	106th Annual Rhododendren Festival By Julia Zinsmeister May 17, 2013 - 3:00pm It’s time for the annual Rhododendron Festival in the near town of Florence! This year marks the 106th anniversary of the festival, which celebrates Florence’s abundance of beautiful rhododendrons. The three day festival offers varies activities from a car show to a 5k run. Did I mention a full carnival on the river?! That means you can enjoy those notorious carnival rides and massive orders of curly fries. Also, don’t miss the annual Grand Floral Parade on Sunday - bands and business from all over the state come to participate. 	Willamette Valley Music Festival By Rebecca Gibson May 11, 2013 - 3:00pm The Willamette Valley Music Festival is an annual, free event put on by coordinators at the Cultural Forum in the University of Oregon. The 2013 WVMF is all about music. There will be three stages, 15 bands, DJ face-offs, and hours of great music from Noon to Midnight right on the UO campus! Come to the EMU Amphitheater, the Buzz Cafe, and upper University ST. to see any kind of genre you like. Featured styles of music will include electronic, folk-pop, reggae, indie, dubstep and many more! There will also be a dj contest with grand prizes that any local DJ can participate in to win. 	The Dalai Lama Comes to Eugene By Rebecca Gibson May 10, 2013 - 4:30pm The University of Oregon will host His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, at Matthew Knight Arena on Friday, May 10. This event runs through the 11th of May. There will be a series of beer tastings and brewing at different locations in town. Many locations, like Ninkasi or Falling Sky, have outdoor patios.
