How to Have a Better Morning

Step 1. Brainstorm outfit ideas the night before

Trying to put an outfit together at the crack of dawn (okay maybe it’s 8 am) can be difficult to say the least; we all experience some outfit-blockage when it’s just too early to function. Brainstorming outfits the night before while you’re lying in bed can eliminate 20 minutes of frustration in the morning.

 

Step 2. Set that alarm nice and early!

Okay I know that might sound scary but setting your alarm 15-30 minutes earlier than you normally would can be a great thing! I know waking up earlier doesn’t seem too appealing but during this time you can make your coffee and catch up on all the Instagram gold you might’ve missed while you were catching some Zzz’s. You have time to wake up and come-to before getting ready!

 

Step 3. Everyone’s favorite – Caffeine, Caffeine, Caffeine!

Coffee is my favorite part of the day and it’s basically a prerequisite for any class that starts before noon. So grab your favorite mug, brew some coffee (or tea) and get to sippin’!

 

Step 4. Time to get ready!

 

Okay so you’ve downed some coffee and caught up on your Instagram feed, maybe pinned a few ideas and now you’re awake enough to slap some makeup on… maybe. To get myself in the mood to get ready I put some music on and maybe light a candle to keep my room cozy. So jam out and wing that eyeliner.

 

Step 5. Time to head out!

So now you’ve had a peaceful morning free of outfit blockage and extreme crankiness. You’re ready to conquer the day like the busy little collegiate you are! Keep that caffeine coming and
