These days there are some pretty obvious stereotypes that almost all college students play into. Between fashion choices and television preferences the number of people with similar habits is growing. Check out these seven habits that are steadily getting more common among modern collegiettes.

.High top white Converse. While this fashion trend is mostly thought of as a sorority girl staple, it also happens to be one of the top shoe choices here at OSU. No matter where you are on campus odds are you’re going to see someone wearing a pair of high-top white Chuck Taylors.

.Jandals. Another shoe trend on campus are Jesus Sandals, commonly referred to as “Jandals The good news is this shoe trend is far less expensive than any of the other ones in recent years. They also come in a variety of colors, with the most popular being brown and tan.

.Chaco’s. Another popular sandal, Chaco’s have been popular for a while now. They cost a good $100 though, so don’t feel pressured into getting a pair just yet. However, these shoes have gotten so entrenched in modern college fashion that some girls wear them with dresses and skirts now.

.Netflix. Okay, this is an obvious college habit. Most people have heard of Netflix and a lot of college students use it or other streaming websites to watch their favorite shows. Netflix is getting so popular that there are references to it in almost everything. Just try not to let that new season of your favorite show keep you away from your homework.

.Skipping class. This habit is less clothing or entertainment related, and more downright bad. Most college students are going to skip a few classes a semester. Sometimes sleeping through an alarm or coming down with a cold are unavoidable. But lately there’s been a greater number of students just deciding class isn’t worth attending. I don’t know about you, but I see an increasing number of empty seats in my 8:30 class.

.Snapchat stories. Most people know Snapchat is an app that lets people send videos and pictures that their friends can only view for a set amount of time. Lately though, most people have started using Snapchat stories, which send the picture or video to your entire Snapchat contacts and allows them to view the material as many times as they want in 24 hours. For those people in organizations that require a clean social media presence, Snapchat stories are a dangerous venture, potentially allowing things you don’t necessarily want certain people to see, to be widely visible.
