If you’ve picked up a card, seen the signs or talked to the representatives at the table on Wednesday, you’ll have heard of Tapingo by now (just to clarify, the reps told me that it’s pronounced Tuh-Peen-Go). It’s a free app where you can order and pay for your food, and be notified when it’s ready so that you don’t have to wait in line.
Tapingo is in over 100 campuses nationwide, but Oklahoma State University has set records since the app launched here. There previous record was about 300 registrations in one day, and Oklahoma State students brought that number up to 600!
When you download the free app, you can connect your credit card or bursar account for payment. Then you order your food and receive a text when it’s ready to be picked up. There’ll be a receipt with your order that has your name on it, and that’s it! The system is already in place in at Caribou Coffee, Bread and Beyond and Johnny Rockets, and the team is working to get it set up in Chick-Fil-A.
No more waiting in the horrible lines during lunch-rush hour!
