The school year is coming to an end here in Athens, and for most, that means it’s time to start saying our goodbyes to the best place on Earth. It’s crucial to say goodbye to all of your favorite things and places here on campus before heading out for the summer.

1. Go to your favorite bar: What would OU be without our great bars? Make sure you plan a night to hang out at a couple of your favorites, order your favorite drink and lastly, have a blast.

2. Go to your favorite place to eat: Big Mamma’s, GoodFella’s, Union Street Diner, or maybe even a 2 a.m. stop at Wendy’s — whatever it is, make sure you have your favorite because you know you will be missing it over the summer.

3. Take a picture in your favorite spot on campus: OU is filled with picture perfect spots, so make sure to stop by at least one and get plenty of pictures. That way over summer you can brag to all of your friends that don’t go to OU about how much prettier it is then their school.

4. Go to Hocking Hills: Maybe hiking isn’t really your thing, but Hocking Hills is a destination spot for a lot of people, and it’s right around the corner. Take advantage of such a beautiful park and the weather warming up, and take a trip to Hocking Hills.

5. Try something new: There’s always that one place you might walk by and want to stop at or try the food. Now is the time! On a campus filled with so many cool places, try at least one new thing before you head out, and maybe it could become your new favorite thing for next year!
