Get the look: Alden to Court Street in under 15 minutes!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ohio U chapter.

It’s been a crazy day filled with schoolwork and classes, and just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, your profs slap a hefty load of homework on your shoulders. Looks like it’s time to head to Alden for a strenuous night of coffee and studying.

But, alas! All of the sudden, you finish the workload you thought would take hours to complete, with (uh-oh!) only fifteen minutes to catch up with your girls on Court Street! Plan of attack? Follow these steps and I’ll even give you a couple of minutes to spare.

Before: Black leggings, an oversized OU t-shirt, bare feet, and a headband.

Step 1. Take a deep breath– you have plenty of time! Check yourself out; what do you have to work with? Oh, that coffee stain down the middle of your shirt has got to go. Those comfy leggings, however, will work. (1 minute)

Step 2. Starting with neutral apparel and then adding accessories is a breeze, so use this to your advantage. Strip off that coffee-stained shirt and exchange it for a long, plain tunic or dress. (1 minute)

Step 3. Now it’s time for accessories. Add your favorite pair of “comfortable” heels and switch that bland headband for a flirty and fun headscarf, meanwhile, adding a few rings and a bold necklace. (4 minutes)

Step 4. Freshen up your face by adding a bit of powder and some additional blush. Don’t forget to reapply mascara and brush your teeth to rid your mouth of awful coffee breath. A bit of bold lipstick is a quick and certified way to complete your look. (5 minutes)

Step 5. You can place essential items for your impromptu night out, such as phone, ID, keys, and money in a small, sling purse for hands-free fun.  (2 minutes)

After: Black leggings, cotton dress, headscarf, heels, necklace, and rings

In less than fifteen minutes, you can easily convert from library bum to fun loving looker, ready for a night out with pals. Keep your outfit simple and concentrate on the quick changes you can make in order to get out there and have some fun– you earned it!
