As fun as summer and the rest of the seasons are, it can be no surprise that fall is the theme season for basic girls everywhere. In fact, all of the most thoughtful fall trends are strongly associated with basic girls… Fall really is basic girl season.
Chunky Sweaters
Sweaters go with everything. They can be dressed up with jeans and a staple necklace, or they can be dressed down with leggings and a no makeup for an on-the-go look for classes. Either way, comfortable, but fashionable, sweaters can be found in any size, color and store during the fall months. The best part is they never really go out of style, either.
Fall Flavored Coffee
Between pumpkin spice lattes, chai tea lattes, apple cider, salted caramel coffee and more, there’s an endless supply of basic girl Starbucks drinks to go along with the falling leaves and dropping temperatures. Whether you prefer drinks cold or hot, the flavors are amazing and so much better than having a vanilla latte day in and day out. Sweatshirt Season
Although summer is nice, imagine being able to wear a sweatshirt with only the bra underneath every day. This is a classic basic girl’s heaven. It pairs nicely with leggings and fluffy socks best for lounging around or studying at the library. Either way, hoodie season is a blessing.
Corn Mazes, Hayrides and More Oh My
Corn mazes, hayrides, apple picking and haunted houses are great outings and are usually initiated by the basics of America. Sure, these common activities fall activities are fun, but they’re also a plus for the Instagram game. So the next time your BFF asks to hit up these fall oriented activities, give it a go.

No Shaving, No Problem
This isn’t an extreme no-shave November deal, but beginning in Fall girls get a chance to slow down on the excessive and constant shaving. Pants replace shorts and long-sleeves replace crop tops making comfort a priority. It’s a win-win.
Tanning Beds are Acceptable Again
As relaxing by the pool can be during the summer, it’s also time consuming. Tanning beds in the summer is potentially even more frowned upon in the summer too, so when the cooler weather strolls in, it’s acceptable to buy a tanning package and only spend a few minutes a day to earn the bronze colored skin.
All the Halloween Costumes
Basic girls love Halloween simply because they get to dress up as even more basic characters or put on limited clothing to pretend to be someone, or something, for a night.
