It’s almost the end of the semester which means it’s almost summer! One of my favorite parts about summer is old and new music! Here’s a list of songs that you’ll wanna blast all summer long:
Passionfruit by Drake: This is one of my favorite songs by Drake! You can’t argue that it gives off major summer vibes. I feel like Drake is going in a new direction with his music and I am here for it!
Galway Girl by Ed Sheeran: I don’t listen to much Ed Sheeran, but his latest album is GOOD! This is one of my favorite songs off the album. I love how he incorporates pop, Irish, and even a little rap into this song.
Congratulations by Post Malone: With grad season already here, it’s only appropriate that this song make the list. It also has a super “You can’t mess with me” vibe and we can all use that every once in awhile.
Heatstroke by Calvin Harris ft Young Thug, Pharrell Williams, and Ariana Grande: This collab is from God himself. If I had to choose one song to keep on repeat all summer, it would be this one. It reminds me of a 70’s disco song.
That’s What I Like by Bruno Mars: Bruno Mars always has those songs that you can’t help but move like Tina when they come on! This is one of my many favorites off his latest album.
Location by Khalid: This song came out awhile ago, but it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves. The lyrics to this song are just beautiful, along with his voice and this is totally a song you can roll down the windows to and just “vibe vibe vibe”
Stay by Zedd and Alessia Cara: This song has been out for a few months now, but I think it’ll REALLY blow up this summer! I love both Zedd and Alessia Cara, so this collab song is a dream come true!
Love by Kendrick Lamar ft. Zacari: KENDRICK. FREAKIN. LAMAR. This album is everything!! There is not one bad song, so I encourage you to listen to the whole album, but this is my favorite song. It reminds me of a modern day summer romance.
Midnight City by M83: This song is an oldie but goodie! It reminds me of the drive back home from the beach on a late summer night with the windows rolled down with your friends and going through a tunnel full of lights. Idk maybe I’m just extra
With new music, concerts, and just being able to blast music at cookouts, summer is definitely the time to reconnect to some of your old favorite tunes or find some new ones.
