Abusers can be very manipulative and tricky individuals. Here are some of the mind games they play!

Jealousy

In a relationship, jealousy is an inevitable thing, but there can be a limit. If the person you’re dating has jealousy over things that should be no big deal, like hanging out with family as an example, this can be a red flag.

Controlling Behavior

Self-explanatory! If you are being restricted about being who you are for the sake of your partner, this is not a good sign.

Nothing is ever good enough

In a relationship, it’s normal to want to go above and beyond for your partner. However, if you go the extra mile and your partner still feels like that was not good enough, that is a sign of abuse. Abusers usually expect the victim to a meet every need they have, even if it’s unreasonable.

Playing the Blame Game

No matter what happens, it’s “never” their fault! Evidence could be right there on the table and the abuser will not take responsibility for their actions.
