Celebrities rule the world. We spend our days gawking over them on TV, in magazines, and on social media. Famous people are constantly rubbing how perfect their lives are in our faces. Do I sound bitter? We all want what they have, or better yet what we can’t have, – the shoes, clothes, the fortune, and now their relationships. After asking some ODU students, here is the most popular celebrity couples we would all love to be like.
1. Beyoncé and Jay-Z

People love them for the fact that they are the epitome of a power couple. They have the money, fame, and what seems to be the perfect love story. Though they are extremely popular celebrities, they do a pretty great job of keeping their personal lives private. They have been in the news in recent years about issues in their marriage and Beyonce’s Lemonade album had us all thinking they were about to split but the couple came back stronger than ever, like always. They are now expecting twins to add to their powerhouse family and we all are waiting for them to pop up on our instagram feed!
2. Drake and Rihanna

There has always been dating rumors about these two that have never been confirmed. They have dropped multiple hit songs together, Work being the most recent. We love the idea of these two being in love. Ri Ri is the bad girl and Drake is the bad boy in the hip hop industry at the moment. Seeing them together sends chills through our bodies.
3. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Whenever I see these two pop up on any social media site, I literally scream “goals!” They seem to be a match made in heaven. They showcase their love for lounging around together and eating. What’s better than that? Chrissy isn’t afraid to speak her mind at any event or on the internet, making her very personable. These two really give our generation hope that real love does still exist.
4. Brad and Angelina (before the split!)

These are two of the most desireable people on the planet. When they got together, the universe almost exploded. Every women wanted to be with Brad Pitt and every man wanted Angelina Jolie. The movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which starred the two as a married couple who were spies, made their real life relationship that much more exciting to the public. Once they were married, their lives revolved around doing a bunch of humanitarian acts around the world.
5. Barack and Michelle Obama

Because….goals, literally. Who doesn’t love the Obamas? There is absolutely no competition when it comes to these two! The eight years that they spent in office together made, not only the American people but, people all over the world fall in love with them. The Obamas made themselves relatable to the average person. They had dogs, raised two beautiful young girls and the love they showed for each other is indescribable. Undoubtedly they are, and forever will be, the best family to ever live in the white house. If you had to describe the American Dream, it would be them.
