Are you a Pizza Mercato superfan? Well, you’re in luck! Pizza Mercato is launching its first ever video contest to find the beloved pizzeria’s biggest fans!
After 19 years of feeding locals, tourists and the future film-makers, doctors, lawyers and philosophers of New York University, Pizza Mercato wants to say thanks, the best way they know how.
All you have to do is submit a 60-second short that creatively highlights why you’re a superfan and what the pizza means to you.
The Grand Prize? Free pizza for the academic year, based on the NYU calendar! What more could a college student ask for?
Winners will be allowed a one-topping pizza per week for the school year. And as if that isn’t enough motivation to enter, the winning video will be promoted to a wide audience – a great opportunity for anyone involved in film production (cough, Tisch film majors, cough!) – and will make you an instant Campus Celebrity (and we may even profile you on Her Campus NYU!).
“We want to connect with the customers that make our restaurant so great, especially our biggest fans,” said owner Van Selvan. 8,000 people a week eat Mercato pizza making it the most popular pizzeria in the neighborhood. Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley, a former NYU student, even mentioned eating there in a recent interview.
The contest is open to everyone over the age of 18. Submissions are due by October 15, 2011 and voting runs until the end of October.
