Aubrey Page: Fancy as a Sushi Roll

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

Name: Aubrey Page

Hometown: Loleta, CA

Major: Cinema Studies

Year: Sophomore

Favorite movie(s): Rosemary’s Baby, Cleo from 5 to 7

Favorite show: The X-Files

Favorite quote: “I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.” – Gilda Radner

Go-to repeat song on iPod: “Any track on “If You’re Reading This it’s Too Late”.”

Fun Fact: “I tipped a cow once. I promise it is not as fun as it sounds.”

HC NYU What are your activities and interests?AP Indulging my bubble tea habit, seeing movies at MOMA, writing about things I love, and sleeping. Sleeping is so great, guys.

HC NYU What do you want be when you grow up, ideally?AP A film or television critic. Always gunning for Emily Nussbaum’s job.

HC NYU What’s been your proudest moment in life so far?AP It’s still the time I mastered whistling. If I’m being realistic, there are certainly things that I’ve accomplished or weathered that have been a lot more important or exciting in the scheme of things, but I’m not sure I’ve ever been more psyched than the day I realized I could whistle “Oops, I Did it Again” all the way through.

HC NYU If you could tell your 15 year-old self one thing, what would it be?AP Boys aren’t shit. Don’t change your body, your style, or your personality just because you still haven’t had your first kiss. It will come.

HC NYU If you were any food or dish what would you be?AP Usually feelin’ like a fancy-ass sushi roll, probably lookin’ like a little pork dumpling.
