With around 700,000 followers combined, identical twins Adam and Patrick Perkins have conquered the hearts of vine users. Both freshmen at NYU, they now set out to conquer the hearts of New York City one lo-fi LA beat scene/ psychedelic-pop show at a time.

What do you miss most about home?Adam: “My friends. Honestly everything here is better. Sometimes I miss seeing green things.”
Patrick: “Overall I don’t really miss it very much.”
You’re from California. Are you ready for winter in NYC?Patrick: “No.”
Adam: “We were actually born in Boston [… ] We lived there until we were six, so we had winter. I’m hoping it will be fun for me because it’s a luxury even if it is like five months.”

How would you guys describe your music?
Adam: “Our music is very, very different. Mine would be more dream pop or psychedelic folk.”
Patrick: “Lo-fi LA beat scene.”
Do you want to pursue music after college?Adam: “I think I would like to.”
How does being in New York affect your online presence on any social media platform?
Patrick: “I have so much work now that it is hard for me to keep up with that.”
Adam: “We definitely get recognized on the street a lot more than we did.”
Is that weird for you?
Adam: “Yeah.”
Have you been to see any concerts since you’ve been here?
Patrick: “Weird Inside at Knitting Factory.”
Adam: “Lætitia Sadier at Baby’s Alright.”
What is the best thing about NYU?
Adam: “It’s probably the stereotypical answer but I think location for sure. And the fact that seven people from our graduating class came here […] And some of the most amazing teachers I’ve ever had.”
Patrick: “Our friend group came here which is something we are very fortunate about. ”
What is the worst thing about NYU?
Adam: “Probably the cost, honestly – kinda the notoriety that comes with being an NYU student. As soon as someone hears that they associate something with you a little bit. But I’ll take that. The education is top notch and I’ve met a lot of cool people.”
If one of you guys had to be Cole Sprouse and one had to be Dylan Sprouse who would be who?
Adam: “Cole.”
Patrick: “Dylan. Adam’s the intellect, I’m the bad boy.”
