Summer 2017 Festival Fashion Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Summer is coming, and that means plenty of festivals are on the horizon. With festivals happening up and down the country, thousands upon thousands of people will be pitching their tents, ready to hear their favourite artists on the big stage. Festivals are also a great opportunity to get some ideas and inspiration for summer clothes. There are so many potential outfits that will make sure you look great this summer!

To start with here are some of the essentials to bring to a festival:

  • Reusable water bottle
  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag and roll mat
  • Wellies
  • Toilet roll
  • SPF
  • Torch
  • ID
  • Hat
  • Money
  • Toiletries

Your festival wardrobe needs to be versatile for all weathers, as well as being comfortable.

Suki Waterhouse looks great in this sequined top and denim shorts, paired with black trainers ensuring she’s still able to run from 1 stage to another at a moment’s notice.

Channel the bohemian look like Nina Dobrev, with a button front denim mini, fringed boots, and a printed Kimono.

A simple printed dress not only looks great, but it is comfortable and versatile, which makes it a perfect festival outfit.

White lace is a beautiful material for a summer dress, and looks best when paired with some sunnies.

Suki Waterhouse strikes again with a pair of versatile dungarees that can be worn over a long or short sleeve top, and are ideal for people who want to wear a crop top but avoid showing a lot of skin.

Maxi skirts can be worn plain or printed, as seen on Joanne Froggatt, and would look great with a nice tank top.

There are so many outfits to choose from, but the most important thing to remember is to choose something you feel comfortable in… and to have fun!
