Skin Mapping: Getting Rid of Spots Wherever They Are

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

There are so many tips online on how to get rid of acne: eating certain foods, exercising, drinking water, sleeping early, don’t touch your face too much and splashing out on special facial washes and scrubs. It’s a pain to look through all that online info so here’s a simple guide with some tips depending on where your facial spots are. They’re all healthy, free and won’t detract too much from your busy schedules!

Forehead

  • Go to bed (10pm) and wake up early 7am and keep to a pattern! Even if you can’t drift off it’s good for your liver to rest and be ready for your lectures the next day (bonus – you won’t fall asleep in class!)
  • Drink more water and less fizzy drinks! Try and make all your drinks water – trust me!
  • 20-30 minutes outside exercise every day
  • Keep a food log to make sure it’s nothing you’re specifically eating
