Get the Look: Kendall Jenner at Met Gala 2017

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

It has to be said, Kendall looked like a true supermodel. The timeless, classic make up look was bright and fresh along with being bold and sultry – all at the same time. What’s more is that this look is so simple and wearable that even a beginner can easily master it and SLAY.

Face Contour: After the base has been applied, carve out the cheekbones using Maybelline’s Master  Contour V Stick and. blend out the product for that perfectly placed, sharp af supermodel contour.Bronzer: Kendall’s glow was more sunkissed than usual and this is because she used the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer. With a Kabuki brush lightly dust the Bronzer onto the areas that you’ve contoured, the temples, the forehead and the jaw line. The Bronze Goddess Bronzer is on the pricey side so as a drugstore option we’d recommend the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzer (also known as the Chocolate Bronzer!) which works just as well and smells delicious.Highlighter: The glow was intensified using a powder highlighter, so for this step use a warm toned highlighter like Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm Cosmetics or for a more affordable option try Makeup Revolution’s Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights. Place the highlighter on the high points of the cheekbones, the brow bone, the inner corner of the eyes, the tip of the nose, and on the cupid’s bow and blend out the areas with light dusting motions.

EyesEyeshadow: The whole eye makeup was hella simple and looked as if it took only a few minutes. This is probably the easiest, most effortless step. Pick a warm tone brown shade of eyeshadow from any neutral palette you have and blend it over the entire eye lid, concentrating on the crease and darkening the crease very slightly for more definition. Next get a little black eye shadow on an eyeliner brush and lightly line the top lash line and slightly wing it out at the end for a lift. This can also be done with a black eyeliner as long as it’s carefully blended to make sure there aren’t any harsh lines.Lashes: The lashes weren’t very dramatic but they were voluminous and fluttery so; we would use the Ardell Demi Wispies with the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Back on the bottom lashes to make them stand out.

LipsLipstick: Kendall wore the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Carnal, which is a vivid red colour with orange tones in it. A good dupe for this would be the Rimmel Kate Summer Shades Lipstick in Orange Red. If you’re not feeling the orange, however, go for a pure vivid red like Mac’s famous Ruby Woo or simply your favourite matte red.
