Waking up for a 9am class every day is hard to begin with, and actually getting dressed isn't the first thing on our minds. The school year is (almost) over, and so are the days where we hoped to be the best dressed of our friends. When you're spending all your time in class or studying for class, why bother looking cute when you could be comfortable? Studies actually show that getting dressed in the morning boosts confidence, allowing people to feel more composed and focus better.
The key to looking both cute and comfy is to layer, especially since the weather here changes multiple times a day and the libraries are overly air-conditioned. Keep your clothes looser and in neutral colors to look dressed but not dressed up. Tanks under cardigans, chambray shirts, or flannel all look cute and allow you to adjust to the temperature of the room. Also, stick to (thick!) leggings or jeggings, which are cuter than sweats are and just as comfy. Flats, boots or sandals are good ways to finish off the look. Layering a scarf on top, even a sheer one, always makes simple outfits look more put-together. For those warmer days, a cotton sundress layered with a cardigan or a denim jacket is an easy option.
