1. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape: This movie beautifully captures the pain in it’s unique relationships between a family and a girl who stops by their desolate town. The film heartbreakingly shows the immobilizing pain of being unable to move forward.

2. 16 Candles: This movie is perfect if you’re missing the simpler days of being in High School. Funny and light, but still with a heartwarming message this movie will bring back all the chaos of living with you family, all the petty drama that comes from going to high school in a small town, and all the feelings of your first serious crush.

4. Mona Lisa Smile: This film will make you grateful for attending college in this day in age as opposed to in the 1950’s when sexism and gender roles hindered women trying to obtain a higher education.
