Just because you are going on co-op doesn’t mean you are far from school. In fact, you will be surprised at how many of your colleagues are alumni of Northeastern University. For my first co-op, I got to work alongside two wonderful people that recently graduated from Northeastern. And one of them happens to have had the same co-op I currently have now.

What was your favorite class at NEU? The Neuropsychology of Fear
What were you involved in when you use to go to NEU? I attended some Pride group meetings, TA’d for Abnormal Psychology, and worked at the Disability Resource Center.
Did you go on any co-ops? I did two while at Northeastern. And now I’m working at the same place I started!
What is your favorite memory at NU? First semester sophomore year was my first experience interviewing for co-ops. It was getting late in the fall, and I was getting nervous I wouldn’t land a job. Then it happened—I started one week with zero offers, ended it with four. That felt pretty special.
Favorite place on campus: Snell, of course.
Word of advice to freshmen on campus: Find a mentor and be open to new experiences.
Where are you now? I do human resources analytics and strategy for the State Street Corporation. Still happily in the Boston area.
Best piece of advice you ever received: It’s okay to ask for help when you need it. It’s no fun spending your life walking on eggshells.
Fun fact about yourself: I have a twin; he’s lovely.
Top three favorite musicians (bands/artists): Oh jeepers where do I start. Right now I’ll give it to: Rihanna, KAYTRANADA, and Jamie xx.
Favorite place in Boston: The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Best ice cream in town: The best I’ve had here is at a place called Gracie’s in Union Square, Somerville. But I’m a sucker for Ben & Jerry’s when it’s buy-one-get-one.
