Having a Starbucks in Curry is a saving grace for Northeastern students throughout the semester, especially during finals. Most of the year you order a hot drink and receive it in a bland white cup, but starting in November Starbucks brings out their cheerful, signature red holiday cups. A simple change, yet so exciting! Here are a few of Starbucks’ seasonal/holiday drinks and treats that everyone should check out the next time they find themselves standing in that endless line.
Chestnut Praline Latte:
This is their latest drink and it has received positive reviews. It’s a latte with caramelized chestnuts and spices, and comes topped with whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs.
Peppermint Mocha:
This classic is like Christmas in a cup. The peppermint flavor is the perfect addition to get you in the holiday spirit.
Salted Caramel Mocha:
This one is fellow Her Campus writer Anna Wendt’s favorite. It’s a delicious cup of espresso and steamed milk mixed with mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup. It comes topped with caramel and a sugar and sea salt mixture.
Frosted Snowman Cookie:
This treat is so adorable you won’t want to eat it. But if you do decide to munch off Frosty’s head, you’ll be biting into a wonderful, buttery shortbread cookie that’s sure to make your holidays brighter.
Gingerbread Latte:
When you drink this you can’t help but think of this:
This espresso drink is topped with a molasses drizzle and is a long-time customer favorite.
Starbucks Christmas Blend:
If you prefer to brew your own coffee, Starbucks has a holiday blend that comes in a variety of forms (ground, whole bean, K-Cup). They even have a blonde version for those who prefer a lighter roast. The holiday blend is celebrating its 30th anniversary, so be sure to check out the sales at your local Starbucks.
This is not an exhaustive list, but it should get you started on a wonderful holiday season.
