If you could choose to be someone for one day, who would you be?I would like to be Kim Jong-un and declare the unification of North and South Korea!!

If you could choose a physical location to be at right now, where would you be?

I have always dreamed to visit Middle Eastern states. One of the places I want to visit is Jerusalem, from where different religions took roots and coexist together. I heard food there is great, too.

What is NUCALLS?

NUCALLS is a Northeastern student organization that offers free language classes to the Northeastern communities. Anyone can join–you don’t need to be a Northeastern student to take our classes.

What made you decide to join NUCALLS in the first place?

It was freshman year and a good friend of mine was teaching Japanese for NUCALLS. I loved the idea and started teaching from then.

Why did you decide to teach Korean?

I decided to teach Korean since there was previously no Korean class at Northeastern while so many people wanted to learn it. It’s also an experience for me to learn more about my language, and students often ask me astonishing questions about Korean that I’ve never thought about before. I feel like I have a better understanding of Korean than before I joined NUCALLS.

Apart from extracurricular activities, how do you spend your time?

I usually watch lots of movies, listen to decent music, and play sports when it’s nice outside.Currently hanging out a lot with the most beautiful girl in the world!

What are your plans after graduation?

I want to work for the private sector, maybe for Human Rights Watch, in the United States (if I can hopefully get a visa status). I also want to apply for a foreign service exam afterwards in Korea to become a diplomat for my home country. I’m willing to devote myself to international organizations such as UN to help the population who is suffering from poverty in the world.
