Campus Celebrity: Lilly Stairs

In her past five years at Northeastern, Lilly Stairs has done a lot of amazing things. With the skills she has learned from her Communications classes, she has worked hard to raise awareness for issues like bullying, healthcare, children, and education.  

Lilly has always been an amazing and ambitious person. Now, Lilly is working on a new campaign in Boston called “50 Cents for 50 Million.” This campaign is meant to raise awareness and money for the 50 million Americans suffering from autoimmune diseases such as Crohn’s disease, Arthritis, and Lupus, . To help raise awareness, she is setting up tours to visit children affected by the disease, the Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Boston Home. In addition to these tours, on March 25, 2015, the first Autoimmune Disease Awareness Day will occur in Boston. On this day the 50 Cents for 50 Million Campaign.  

In the words of her friend, Kelsie Dodier, who is also helping with 50 Cents for 50 Million,  “Lilly is an incredible woman and an NU student working hard to make this campus and this city a better place.”
