Why did you join a business fraternity?

I joined a business fraternity for a few reasons. First, I wanted to be more involved on campus and I wanted to meet a new group of people I could form close and lasting relationships with. I also wanted to be involved with something meaningful that could help me improve as a professional and in my career. I never thought I would go Greek (a sorority is just so not me), but Alpha Kappa Psi is the perfect balance of fun and professionalism.

What do you do as a part of the Alumni Relations committee?

As Vice Chairman of the Alumni Relations committee, my main responsibility is to determine what alumni are currently in the Boston area and out of those alumni who would be fitting to come to our campus and put on a presentation, meet for dinner, or just be available for general networking opportunities.

Where was your first co-op?

My first co-op was at Wellington Management Company, a financial advisory firm in Boston, in their legal services department.  I had an amazing time and learned so much about all of the background regulations and laws that impact investing and trading every day.  I’m currently working at a legal consulting firm in Beacon Hill that specializes in e-discovery RFP. I’m also looking for my second co-op right now, which is one of THE most stressful things ever.

Where have you studied abroad?

I sadly haven’t been able to study abroad during my time at Northeastern. I’m really hoping to possibly do a co-op abroad or maybe study abroad during my fifth year if all the stars align. I lived in Spain for 3 years when I was younger, so living internationally is like second nature to me.

Three Thing on Your Bucket List Before You Graduate:

  1. Go to a Patriots game (or see any of the Patriots team out and about in Boston)

  2. Study or work abroad

  3. Take a selfie with President Aoun

Favorite Boston Location

This isn’t really a specific location (because I can’t pick just one, it’s almost unfair to ask) but I like to run and my favourite running route goes across the Mass Ave bridge and up the Charles.  The part where it crosses from Cambridge past the Museum of Science and into the North End next to the Zakim Bridge is gorgeous at dusk.

What do you want to do after you graduate?

Though this is not at all set in stone, I’ve been thinking about furthering my education and getting my JD/MBA after I graduate. After that I think I’d like to work in the consulting world with bankruptcies and corporate restructurings. So far that’s been the one aspect of finance that’s really intrigued me, but who knows? As long as I get to travel, I’ll be happy.
