Its getting to be that point in the semester where stress levels are running high. It seems like all of your assignment are due at the same time, you’re stressed out, overwhelmed, and wondering how you’re going to get it all done. Even when you’re stressing out and rushing to turn assignments in on time, its critical to take some time (even if it’s just a second) to relax for a little bit. Here are five easy ways to ensure that even when your life is blowing, you won’t be losing your mind.

  • Invest in a quality shower soap

Regardless of how busy your schedule is, you still have to shower. You might as well make it an enjoyable experience by ditching the Dial and opt-in for some Lush or Bath and Body Works. Taking showers is relaxing, but taking a shower with luxurious eucalyptus tea aroma or vanilla rose scent is next level soothing.

  • Cook your favorite meal

No, it not Momma’s cooking but following a recipe to make a meal can be therapeutic. Also, finishing a small task will give you a much needed since of completion and accomplishment that will in return          motivate you when everything is going south.

  • Call your parents

Or call someone who loves you. It’s possible to get so caught up with school that you forget that there are people in your life rooting for you. Everyone has a #1 Fan in their support system. Calling home for a pep talk when your back is against the wall could be just what you need.

  • Log-Off

When your stress levels are at an all-time high and you’re having trouble getting all your work done, there’s not much your social media accounts can do for you. Watching your friends go out while you’re at home studying can be a huge bummer and distraction. Log-off and save yourself from the disruption, remember its only temporary.

  • Take a Step Back

In a fast-pace society it is easy to forget to stop and smell the roses. When your life is running at a hundred miles an hour, don’t forget to take a deep breath, take a step back, and take a moment to clear your head.
