It’s that time of the year where people start putting up cute Halloween decorations outside of their houses, looking for the perfect Halloween costume and buying candy, but as a college student all of the above become harder tasks because we’re pretty much broke, especially this far into the semester. Being broke means that you have to plan a thrift store outfit, or maybe recycle one from past years and make some modifications, it means no candy and for some it also means no cute Halloween decorations. But is it really Halloween without the spooky but cute decorations inside you room? Definitely not!! Below I will show you some budget friendly decorations so your room gets into the Halloween Spirit!
Cat String Lights.
Materials:
- Black Construction Paper
- String Lights
Instructions
- Make a cat head mold
- Copy the mold into the black construction paper and cut
- Make 2 holes for the eyes
- Place the Sting Lights into the two eye holes
You can get creative and have a different mold, it could be a pumpkin, or a mummy!
Trash Bags Spiderwebs

- Trash Bag

Mason Jar Luminaries
Materials
- Mason Jar
- Paint Primer
- Halloween Stickers
- Spray Paint
Instructions
- Place Sticker on Mason Jar
- Spray the entire mason jar, including the sticker, with primer
- Spray the entire mason jar with spray paint color of your choice
- Let the paint dry completely and carefully peel the stickers off

- Orange crepe or tissue paper
- Glue
- Brown paper bag for the stem
- Twine, yarn, string etc to mold the balloon
