Everything You Need to Know About Beyonce’s Formation Award

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New School chapter.

Earlier this week, Beyoncé announced her very own scholarship award, proving, once more, that she really is a #Queen.

The Beyoncé Knowles-Carter Formation Scholars Award is meant “to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”

There will be one recipient at each of the four following schools: Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Spelman College, and our very own and beloved, Parsons/The New School!

The scholarships are geared toward women studying creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies and will be awarded to either current or incoming undergraduate or graduates. As the official statement mentions, all details and application deadlines are available directly from the colleges. For New School students, everything you need can be found here.

If you qualify, this is one scholarship opportunity you don’t want to miss. Because, after all, who run the world?

Oh, and Beyoncé, you really are flawless.
