A Love Letter to My Bed and Why I’m Thankful For It

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New Haven chapter.

Beds are beautiful creations and are always there for us when we need them the most. They’re loyal and trustworthy and we always appreciate the comfort they give us at the end of the day. So my dear bed, here is my love letter to you.

I never want to leave you in the morning, you’re always there for me when I need you, and every time the alarm goes off I have the same dreaded reaction…

You’re always there to comfort me at any moment especially when I am upset, or feeling gross, and no matter what I am complaining about, you are there to listen. You don’t judge me and I love you for that.

Throughout my day, I think about you and how much I want to be with you, but what gets me through the day is that you’ll always be there waiting for me when I get back.

You welcome Netflix marathons whenever I feel the need for one, and make me feel better about not going out with my friends that night and staying in with you.

You don’t get mad at me when I come home late from a long night out and wake up with the worst headache from all the drinks, and you love me anyway and make me feel better until I sleep it off.

I miss you so much during the day that sometimes I wish I could take a piece of you with me wherever I go and just take a nap whenever I feel necessary.

I love you so much bed, with all my heart. Cuddling with you is one of my favorite things in the world. Whenever I’m with you, I forget about my responsibilities because you just make me feel like time has stood still. Leaving you is the worst part of my day, but the best part is coming back to you every night.

Her favorite color is purple, she loves the Weeknd with all her heart and she's most likely wearing her RayBan's cause she doesn't like to squint.
