Sweat. Adrenaline. Soreness. All of these traits put together can equal an amazing workout. Summer is just around the corner and yes, we all want to look our best. Whether we’re going to the pool, the beach, or to the mall, we all want the same thing. We want to look and feel confident in our bodies.

We desire to have the best summer bodies as possible; we desire to be summertime fine.

Here are a few ways we can get that summertime body:

1.     Swap your to-go order.

Whenever you pull into a drive thru, instead of buying a hamburger, buy a salad. If you go to Chick Fil A, get a grilled chicken sandwich rather than a regular fried chicken sandwich. It’s the little things that count, such as swapping out your common meal for a better and healthier one.

2.     Purge the junk food.

Wipe your pantry out of chips, cookies, crackers, soda, juice, etc. Get rid of all the sugar and salt. Make better eating choices. Stock your refrigerator with fruits, vegetables, and water. Eat more greens. Learn to clean yourself out.

3.     Create a Jamz playlist.

You know what get’s you moving and what makes your energy flow. Make a music playlist that will make you want to get up and go run.

4.     Work. It. Out. Run.

Walk. Jog. Squats. Lunges. Weights. There are so many different workout tactics, but choose a workout that fits for you. The more you love your workouts, the more determined you will be.

To everyone who wants a slimmer body, to get in shape, or to just be fit… Do it! It’s never too late and it’s never impossible. So good luck and have fun while doing it!

Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
