One of my favorite things to do is relaxing with a group of friends, drink some sweet wine, converse in great conversation and just have a great time. I am not a big fan of everyone being on their phones when I’m trying to spend quality time with my friends. I want everyone to be engrossed in the conversation or whatever activity we’re all doing. Playing card games especially with your friends is always a great stress reliever and time to catch up with one another.

Some suggestions of grade A cards games would be:

  1. Black Card Revoked: “A fun and nostalgia-filled game celebrating American black popular culture. It’s bound to invoke hilarious debates among young and old alike. Don’t get your black card revoked! Plays up to 6 people, includes 81 question cards and 24 response cards. Safe for family play (Yes, you can play with grandma!)”

  2. UNO: “Players race to empty their hands and catch opposing players with cards left in theirs, which score points. In turns, players attempt to play a card by matching its color, number, or word to the topmost card on the discard pile. If unable to play, players draw a card from the draw pile, and if still unable to play, they pass their turn. Wild and special cards spice things up a bit.”

  3. Cards Against Humanity: “Play begins with a judge, known as the “Card Czar”, choosing a black question or fill-in-the-blank card from the top of the deck and showing it to all players. Each player holds a hand of ten white answer cards at the beginning of each round, and passes a card (sometimes two) to the Card Czar, face-down, representing their answer to the question on the card. The card czar determines which answer card(s) are funniest in the context of the question or fill-in-the-blank card. The player who submitted the chosen card(s) is given the question card to represent an “Awesome Point”, and then the player to the left of the new Card Czar becomes the new Czar for the next round. Play continues until the players agree to stop, at which point the player with the most Awesome Points is the winner.”

  4. Watch Ya Mouth: “Watch Ya’ Mouth is a simple, hilarious, card-based party game for up to 8 players (4 teams of 2 players). Players take turns trying to understand what their team mate – who is hampered by a cheek retractor (mouth guard) – is saying.   The team with the highest number of accurate interpretations at the end of four rounds wins.

Enjoy a few laughs and good times with some of these card games and I’m sure memories will be made!

Stay beautiful ladies!

Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
