I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for conspiracy theories. There are some bizarre and crazy ones out there, here are just four of them you should know:
1) Avril Lavigne is dead.
This one has been out for awhile now, but it’s so believable. Fans believe that in 2003 a doppelganger named Melissa Vandella replaced pop/rock superstar Avril Lavigne. Lavigne is known for her punk and rock aesthetic; some people reported that they hated working with her because of her bad attitude. The theory goes that she died in 2003, but because she was such an iconic artist, the record company replaced her with Vandella to continue making money. In side by side pictures, there are slight facial features that are different. Also, Lavigne’s image completely changed when Vandella allegedly took over. She lost her punk attitude out of nowhere. Her music is not the same either, and she is slightly punk rock, but way too girly to be Avril. So, is she dead or not?
2) Louis Tomlinson’s baby isn’t real.
This is an extension of a whole theory going back to the 1D days. It was rumored a while back that Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles had an intimate relationship. The theory goes that the record company worked very hard to squash this rumor so that it wouldn’t affect the band’s reputation. Anyway, Louis Tomlinson’s baby was huge news when the baby was first born. But now, no one ever hears about it. He also never posts pictures about the baby anymore, and the ones he did post are clearly photoshopped. If you take a look at his tattoos in the baby photos, some are weirdly misplaced or missing altogether; the baby looks oddly placed as well. Also, the posts about the baby’s birth were all posted at different times or dates. Briana Jungwirth, Tomlinson’s alleged baby mama, posted about her baby’s birth on January 21st. But Louis tweeted about his baby’s birth on January 23rd, saying the baby’s birth date was the 22nd, and no one ever sees this baby anymore. Like did he disappear? People think that the baby is someone from the record label and it so happened to be that her baby was born around this time.
3) Nicki Minaj is actually Jay Z slowed down.
This one isn’t as popular, but it’s mind-blowing. There isn’t too much to this one, but you have to listen, and I think you’ll be convinced. If you listen to the two links below, they both have a Nicki Minaj song slowed down, and a Jay Z song sped up. Listen very carefully, because I honestly thought this theory was a joke until I listened to these videos. It’s literally terrifying. If you don’t believe this one, get your hearing checked.

4) Kanye West’s VMA Blow Up was Staged.
Everyone remembers Kanye’s infamous interruption of Taylor Swift’s award reception at the VMAs in 2009. But conspiracy theorists don’t buy this as drunken Kanye being an asshole. A theory says that the whole thing was staged, but it’s honestly not that hard to believe. People who listen to the two artists have entirely different music styles. A feud between fans was inevitable after something like this. It’s 100% believable that this was orchestrated for the two to gain more publicity.
