Why did you choose James Madison College at Michigan State? I chose James Madison because I had heard amazing things about the program – especially regarding its alumni relations. I knew I wanted to study policy, so when I found out about James Madison, I was very excited. As I learn more about the benefits that come with it such as small class sizes and opportunities for professional relationships with faculty, I knew it was the place for me.

What is your ideal job after graduation? My dream job after graduation would be working in the Department of Education or National Education Association to refine and create better educational policies.

What advice would you give to other young women pursuing a career in politics? I would encourage young women who are interested in this field to build connections with people so that they can better integrate themselves into the world of politics. Despite what some might say, women are more than capable of being successful in this field, and I hope that young girls are able to see that.

How do you hope to change the world one day? I hope to improve the education system in our country so we can have more equality among citizens. Hopefully that equality will spread to the rest of the world, as well.
