“FKA Twigs”, stage name for English artist Tahliah Debrett Barnett, is a thriving 26-year-old who is having great success putting herself and her unique musical sound out there not only in America, but countries all over the world. She began as a backup dancer in her early career and later decided to reach out as an independent singer and songwriter. She is currently on tour in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and recently performed at the festival “Pitchfork” in Chicago. This British talent, also rumored to be dating Robert Pattinson, will be touring locally in Michigan soon.
This week she released a video collaboration with Google Glass in which the star not only acts, but directs her own music video.
