HCM: What do you like most about Montclair State University?

JN: Montclair State University has a lot to offer for their students. We are not solely taught in the four walls of a classroom, but we also get to experience the real working world by participating in on-sight class trips. Students are also given the chance to build their resume and show their creativity by completing projects for companies outside the classroom, which allows them to get a real hands-on experience. Our experience gives us an edge above others. Also, there are always opportunities of networking at campus career fairs and events.

HCM: What are your goals for the future?

JN: My goal for the future is to obtain a job in marketing, preferably in the retail industry. If I could combine my marketing background, my passion for fashion, and be located in Manhattan, that would be my ideal job.

HCM: Who has been your biggest inspiration?

JN: My biggest inspiration would have to be my older sister, Anna. She landed a job in New York City right out of college and has grown to be very successful. She taught me that with hard work and perseverance, there are endless possibilities of success.

HCM: What are some of your favorite hobbies?

JN: Other than shopping, my favorite hobbies would definitely include singing and dancing! Growing up, I was always in local choirs and school musicals for fun. As for dancing, I went to several dance schools since I was 2 years old and still can’t resist a good beat!

HCM: What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?

JN: The best vacation I have ever been on was when I went to Sicily in 2009 for a whole summer to visit my great-grandmother.  I got to ride on a vespa for the first time, eat unspeakable amounts of gelato, and soak up the sun on the gorgeous beaches. I spent time with family members that I have never met before and became close with all of my cousins around my age. We explored the island with my wonderful cousins and made several new friendships along the way. I still keep in touch with my friends and family there. It is a trip that will remain very close to my heart, and I will never forget it!

HCM: Describe your dream date.

JN: My dream date would be to be taken out on a dinner cruise with the view of New York City on a warm, moonlit, starry night.

HCM: What is the nicest thing a guy has done for you?

JN: The nicest thing a guy has done for me was show up on my doorstep with a rose and my favorite Starbuck’s drink. It’s the simple things that will make my heart melt.
