HCM : Did you always want to attend Montclair State University after High school?
CW: No, when I came out of High school, I had aspirations to join the Navy. I was even congressionally nominated, but I didn’t have the grades to go. After that I went over to Rutgers, majoring in Engineering and soon found out that I was not fit for being an engineer.
HCM: Why did you transfer to MSU?
CW: After my parents moved to a small town in Europe, right outside of Amsterdam, they left behind a rental house business that I now run. I also wanted to stay close and manage the business while still being able to go in and out of New York City.
HCM: What do you plan on doing after college?
CW: Joining the Navy as an officer is still the plan.
HCM: What kind of music do you play?
CW: I’m a solo artist. I enjoy playing acoustic music and a lot of cover songs. I perform rap covers and John Mayer, a little bit of everything.
HCM: What is your all time favorite song to play?
CW: Juicy by Notorious BIG.
HCM: Have you ever performed in Europe while visiting your folks?
CW: Yeah, I’ve played quite a bit in Europe! I’ve played twice in the UK, I’ve played in France and the Netherlands as well, so a good amount of touring.
HCM: Do you have a favorite quote and if so, why?
CW: “May you make it to heaven forty years before the devil knows you’re dead” I think this quote describes me to a T.
