1. The Nightmare Before Christmas

In this film, Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of his Halloween town discovers a Christmastown one night. He falls in love with it and is sick of the same old routine at Halloweentown. So he tries to bring Christmas to the people in his town. He runs into some situations, but Halloweentown goes back to how it was in the end. 

2. Elf

In this movie, Buddy the Elf is told that his real parents live in New York City. He goes on an adventure throughout the city to find his Dad who was not thrilled to meet Buddy. Buddy’s Dad was on the naughty list. The Christmas spirit was decreasing, which had Santa get stuck and unable to ride his sleigh. With time and effort, Buddy got his Dad off the naughty list, raised the Christmas spirit back in New York, found the love of his life and family.

3. Home Alone 2

What would you do if you if you got on the wrong plane to NYC and separated from your entire family? Explore the city, of course. Kevin McCallister was a young boy in a huge family. The day they were all on their way to Paris, Kevin got separated from the group causing him to get onto a plane to NYC. Kevin had his Dad’s wallet which allowed him to purchase a hotel room, food, and more. Kevin lived the life, but also missed his family. His Mother flew her way back from Paris after a couple of days and reunited with Kevin. 

4. The Grinch

Christmas time is supposed to be a time filled with holiday cheer, but not for the Grinch. The Grinch lives in Whoville, which is filled with Who’s. He lives on the top of a mountain alone and had a small heart. He meets a young girl named Cindy who shows him Christmas is one the most amazing holidays of the year. The Grinch’s heart grows and he learns the true meaning of Christmas. 

5. The Polar Express

A young boy who had a little faith in Christmas was sleeping one night and woke up to a loud noise. It’s a train headed to the North Pole and the young boy gets on. He makes friends and embarks on a long journey to the North Pole. He learns that the wonder of life never leaves for those who believe.
