Summer, Summer, Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MNSU chapter.

You are probably over-joyed with relief that the semester is done or soon going to be ending. The next best time of the year is upon us. SUMMER. In Minnesota, the summer is such a favorite time of the year for many of us. The long winters make many of us grumpy and upset. The sun is finally out and people are becoming happier and more excited about the fun weather. One of the best things to do in the summer is to get out on the lake.

Getting out on the boat and tubing is one of the favorite past times for many. Many people enjoy jet-skiing and pontooning as well. Grilled and baked goods are always a good boat treat to bring out on the lake. Enjoying every second on the lake or in the sunshine is so important, especially for us Minnesotans.

One way to be active during the summer is to join a gym. Joining a gym can help you stay motivated to push yourself throughout the summer. Make goals for yourself to continue your motivation throughout the summer instead of breaking down and stopping. Another area in which you can push yourself this summer is to start or to continue volunteering. Getting involved is not only rewarding but also heart-warming. Volunteering looks great on your resume and many employers look for that little contribution when it’s hiring time.

Summer is the perfect time to try new things or to take a road trip. Many do not have classes during the summer, so trying new things during the summer is perfect. Run a 5K, go tubing, go kayaking, or even go on a golf trip. All these things are perfect ideas for the summer. Enjoy your summer to the most and get a tan!
