The holiday season is quickly approaching us and it can be hard to find the perfect gift for all your family and friends. Here is a list of companies to buy gifts from that give back to someone in need when you purchase from them!

Love Your Melon

This company was started by two students at St. Thomas University who wanted to make an impact on children who are battling cancer.These warm and fuzzy hats are sold for about $30 and are the perfect winter gift! For every hat that is purchased there is one donated to a child battling cancer. They also donate some of the money made to find a cure for pediatric cancer.

Bombas Socks

The founders of this company found out that socks were the #1 requested item at homeless shelters and knew they had to help. These socks are said to be extremely soft and are designed for comfort. The socks are mostly made for athletic use and have many great features. For each pair of socks that are purchased there is another pair donated to someone who is homeless. They have donated over 1 million pairs of socks! You can purchase one pair of socks for $10 or you can get a bundle for up to $90.

Pura Vida

This company provides long term and sustainable jobs for about 50 costa rican artists. They sell bracelets and packs of bracelets that are all homemade. A portion of the sale is donated to a charity. Pura Vida is partnered with over 190 charities and have donated almost a million dollars. The bracelets range from $5-$30. They have every color you could think of and are very durable bracelets!

Sudara

The founder of this company, Shannon Keith, was on a trip to India when she saw the harsh reality of the sex trade there. So many women and children are sold into the trade and are barely surviving. She decided to start the company and give them all stable jobs and a safe place to work. They make mostly loungewear, but it is very unique and handmade. The main product they sell are called punjammies which are comfy pajama pants! They also have t shirts, long sleeve shirts, shorts, robes, and sweatshirts. Prices range from $30-$80.

Headbands of Hope

Jess Ekstrom started her idea of giving back to those with cancer while she was still in college. Headbands of hope donate a headband to a child with cancer every time one is purchased. Giving a headband to a patient not only restores their confidence in beauty but also gives them a gift of hope. Prices of their products range from $10-$30!

Fashionable

This company gives women in poor countries jobs the chance to work for a life they want. Having the job gives these women a better future and the opportunity to be financially stable. This company sells bags, jewelry, scarves and much more! Prices range from $10 for individual pieces to $240 for bundle deals. This company also has a monthly subscription box. $20 a month and you can have unique pieces delivered right to your doorstep!

S’Well

S’Well was launched with the mission to reduce plastic bottles. Having reusable water bottles  helps with recycling and keeping the world cleaner. Not only are these water bottles stylish they are also helping the world. This brand is also a huge supporter and donator to provide countries around the world with clean water for children. The bottles range from $30 to $50 depending on size and pattern

The Giving Keys

Actress and singer/songwriter Caitlin Crosby is the founder of The Giving Keys. When she was on tour she started wearing a hotel key and decided to engrave keys with inspirational messages. One day she saw a homeless couple sitting in the rain and decided to invite them to dinner. She found out the woman enjoyed making jewelry and so they decided to become business partners. Crosby’s mission is to fight against homelessness and give people who are homeless hope for the future. The three created the brand and keys within days of meeting each other. Their products are worn by all people on different walks of life who want to inspire others.
